"Our Christmas Hamper Project works to provide a hamper of essential food items along with some Christmas treats to individuals and families in Basingstoke. We want to support those who would be unable to buy items to make Christmas special, unless they went without the basic necessities."

Prison Fellowship
Prison Fellowship is a Christian charity dedicated to bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ into the lives of prisoners. It ministers to those who are already Christians and seeks to share the gospel with others and reflect God’s love even in the darkest of places. One of PF’s longest standing support offerings to prisoners is the Sycamore Tree Course. It is a victim awareness and restorative justice programme held over 6 consecutive weeks. Volunteers from SWP Churches serve in HMP Winchester & HMP Ford, an open prison near Arundel.

Serving in Mission (SIM)
We particularly support Jonny & Olga Anderson who work in the new Quechua communities on the edge of the city of Sucre in Bolivia. They have been serving since 2010 and have a desire to see God glorified amongst the Quechua people. Their focus is on teaching Christ to Quechua speakers using stories that work well on the ear and can be easily passed onto others by church leaders and members.

Bishop Ishaya Baba, Zaria Diocese, Nigeria
Ishaya first visited Sherbornes with Pamber in 2009 as part of a Mission Team and has stayed in touch with and prayed for us ever since. Ishaya oversees the ministry and mission of clergy and churches across the Diocese of Zaria. Christians in this part of Nigeria are at increasing risk of severe persecution and Bishop Ishaya spends a lot of his time travelling to support those who are affected by this opposition. The charity Crosslinks are organising a conference in late 2024 for clergy in Ishaya’s Diocese which we are supporting.

Wycliffe Bible Translators
The vision of Wycliffe Bible Translators is a world where everyone can know Jesus through the Bible.
We particularly support the Potter family (Joe, Sarah, Luke, Barney, Zachary & Daniel) based in Mozambique and involved in a project translating the Bible into one of the local languages so that people can hear the Word of God clearly and accurately in the language that speaks to their heart.
